Matthew Laslo is an award-winning magician who performs both close-up and grand illusions that thrill audiences of all ages. Just 16 years old, the Orcas Island, WA-based teen is an accomplished performer who brings a completely fresh approach to this artform. After all, when was the last time you saw selfie sticks, hoverboards or adult coloring books in a magic show??
An increasingly popular performer for regional conferences and corporations, he delivers engaging, interactive experiences that can align with event themes. Matthew made his television debut on Penn and Teller: Fool US and most recently seen on New Day Northwest with hosts Margaret Larson & Seahawk Jon Ryan.
Beyond the sheer power and magic of his work, audiences of all ages are also drawn to the larger message in Matthew’s shows: that magic is actually all around us, at every moment. Laslo says, “Magic is an art that demonstrates that life it not always what it seems and it makes people look at life in a different way, that’s what is so fun for me.” Participants come away with the insight that we can in fact change our perspective to see the world differently. And they describe Matthew as “clever, fresh and different” and say his show has a “life of its own.”
